Thanks for a lovely celebration meal for 20 of the clan. The food was served up hot promptly all together, staff were helpful and friendly and we had our own area so the kids could move around a bit without getting under other diners feet.A personal touch enabled a birthday cake to be snuck behind the bar and brought out later.Food was tasty and of a high standard. Very handy for Hardwick Hall and M1 A pleasant family meeting place Thank you all.

Excellent food served by pleasant early middle aged lady. Not busy but meal was served at a reasonable time which was hot and one of the best 5 bean chillies ever tasted. The wife's gammon was also very good. two excellent local brews were on tap and kept to a good temperature and quality. this pub was not so good for the past few years but has certainly lifted its standards. the first thing we noticed is that the cutlery was very clean.

My daughter arranged our meal for my husband's 50th birthday, the table was booked for 16, a very pleasant welcome when we arrived, our meal was great and no complaints from anyone else in our party, nothing was to much trouble for the staff , compliments to all the staff and thank you to the chef for a lovely meal, will definitely be back, Yvonne Evans

First visit since revamped menu. Personally I preferred the old menu - what has happened to the venison burger? That said, food and service were excellent as always. I note that a degree of pretentiousness has crept in along with the revamp. Meals are meant to be served on plates - not in enamel bowls! When you ask for a jug of water you do not want a teapot! And yet for a pub with pretentions it still serves sauces in horrible plastic sachets - why not in a small bowl? Personal gripes aside don't be put off. Try for yourself, you won't be disappointed.

My boyfriend and I went last night for the Valentines Meal, what can I say?? Totally Amazing, with a capital A! From the start a fabulous meal, we had Chicken Liver Pate, Sirloin Steak with all the trimmings followed by Dark Chocolate Torte. There was also Coffee and a Biscuit and a free glass of wine. The meal was one of the best, such a great price too. Well done to you all.

Not our local pub by any means, but well worth the extra mileage. Good, value for money food and drinks. Pleasant surroundings and refreshing decor within. Quietly efficient and polite service. Plenty of choice of meals to suit all tastes. Came as a couple this time but will bring friends soon.

As it was our wedding anniversary we decided to try the Plug and Feathers a very warm welcome and seated straight away. Service was excellent and the food was excellent and very hot not like some places even the peas were hot. We will be visiting again.

I just wanted to drop you a message to say what a great job you have done since the re opening of the pub from the old days of ma hubbards.

The whole place has a new atmosphere, the staff are great and we must of been in 7/8 times since you became the plug and feathers.

Also, as part of the management of Glapwell FC, I have to pass on that the environment you have created for the team to get together in on Saturday mornings has been a huge help in allowing Jamie and myself to bring the team closer together.

Please keep up the good work! The season has now finished but we will be back again early August!

See you soon.

Very helpfull and freindly staff-good prompt service-comfortable environment-very good food-HIGHLY recommend Sunday lunch and plenty of it! However(oops....)most table menu's sticky, unhealthy and food stained and really should be laminated to wipe clean-Gents urinal badly in need of deoderant tablets as odour was strong from 'trough'-personally I prefer individual urinals to prevent splashed shoes!Hope your table booking system up & running soon as may visit again soon. Thanks for hospitality yesterday lunch time on behalf of my party and self.

Second visit since relaunch tonight as a treat for my mum for mothers day. The decor is amazing. The staff are so helpful and polite. The food was excellent. The price was very reasonable. Spent the last 15 mins before we left talking about what we are going to try on our third visit and my mum is planning on bringing her friends too. High praise indeed as she is very fussy lol.

Fantastic warm atmosphere, great food and helpful staff. A great place to eat and to pop in for drinks. The decor is very chic, just what Glapwell needed !

My family and I have been going to the pub for a number of years now and could not be happier with the food, staff and atmosphere. What the pub has now done to the interior is fantastic and the atmosphere is even better. It was great to be there on opening night and seeing the place packed to the rafters. As I said I have never had any reason to complain about the food but the more varied choices on offer now make it even harder to decide what to eat Once again well done to the Pub People and Sue and the Plug and Feathers team David, Dawn, Tamara and Bridie

Me and my wife enjoyed an excellent Friday night dinner and drinks at the newly-refurbsihed Plug & Feathers.
It was quite late, around 8pm, and the atmosphere was fantastic. An excellent Northern Soul playlist at a suitable volume and an interresting crowd of locals and families were enjoying themselves.
I had a sizzling skillet that was smoking as it left the kitchen and my wife enjoyed the Plug & Feathers Stack burger.
We had popped in once before last year and wasn't impressed but the recent alterations and new menu have made such a difference, we'll definitely not be going to the Young Vanish again, this is our new local.
